Nadia Comaneci, (born November 12th, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, (presently Onesti(born November 12, 1961 in Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej, now One Romania) Romanian gymnast who was the first gymnast to get a flawless score of 10 in an Olympic competition. Bela Karolyi later Romanian gymnastics coach, discovered Comaneci when she was just seven years old. Her first competition was in the national junior championships which she was 13th place in the year 1969. In the year 1970, she was crowned champion. In her very first international competition in 1972, she won the event by winning three gold awards. When she made her debut as a senior in the year 1975, she defeated Russian Lyudmila Turkishcheva. She was the five-time European champion, winning four golds and a silver. She was the first woman to perform the reverse double salo of the uneven parallel bar in the event she won American Cup, New York City 1976. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. As a teenager, Carol Wayne began working in the entertainment business as a performer as figure skater. Together with her younger brother Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne born 6 September 1942 Chicago Illinois US. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer when she was in her teenage years. Early on Carol was an ice figure skater on the show Ice Capades with her sister Nina Wayne. It featured dramatic ice-skating shows.
